I hope you’ll agree that decisions made today have impact far into the future. Every day we at Liberty Youth Ranch are planning for a future where children are safe and protected. I am often asked "How great is the need for a long-term children's home in Southwest Florida?" The answer is simple - the need is real and the opportunity to serve children is our most sacred mission.

The child protection system in Florida is in desperate need of quality community partners who understand the importance of creating long-term care placements for children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse and neglect. We believe every child deserves to live in a safe home where they will be spared the pain of living in limbo, uncertain where they will next be moved, who will care for them, and what decisions will be made about their future.

Children need to know that they are safe today and will be secure in the knowledge that there will be a brighter tomorrow. Hope is a valuable treasure. We want to help children discover that the world is a good place where responsible adults will be there when they are needed most.

Liberty Youth Ranch will be a home-like setting where children will be welcomed from day one, and will be cared for, for as long as they need us. They will live year-round on our campus, attend school in the community, and receive the tutoring and counseling needed to be successful – in school and in life. Our children will be free from the turmoil of multiple placements from foster home to foster home. Liberty Youth Ranch will be the place where they can live a secure life, celebrate birthdays, and learn the rewards of a peaceful and productive childhood.

January, 2005 marked a historic achievement for Liberty Youth Ranch. We purchased 156 acres of land in Bonita Springs…here in beautiful Southwest Florida. As our construction phase begins, we eagerly anticipate the faces that will soon become a part of our family - the children we will serve. May God bless the children of Southwest Florida who are waiting for their home to be built. We pray His protection for them and his guidance for us.
